Gurugram: The Haryana State Child Welfare Council is all set to host state-level Bal Mahotsav (Children Festival) on the theme ‘Dream Come True’ from December 19 to 23 at Kingdom of Dreams in Sector 29, Gurugram.

Various competitions will be organised for children in four groups at the festival.  

The information was provided by the Haryana State Child Welfare Council General Secretary Krishna Dhul during a press conference held at the PWD rest house in Gurugram. 

Speaking about the upcoming event, he said that State Governor Satyanarayana Arya, Chief Minister Manohar Lal, Union Ministers and members of the State Cabinet will also be present on the occasion. 

Apart from this, Bollywood actors and celebrities from Haryana will also participate.

He said that this festival will have special arrangements for the entertainment of children. Various cultural programs, swings, horse and camel rides, puppet games and various types of gourmets will also be available. Along with this, free gift items have also been kept for children.

He said that special arrangements have been made to entertain the children in the festival so that they can enjoy it with their parents. Last year, state-level children festival was organised in Rohtak which witnessed participation of 2 to 2.5 lakh children at that event.

“Efforts will also be made this time too so that a large number of children from all the districts of the state, especially the districts adjoining Gurugram, will be involved in the state-level children festival. Other arrangements including transport have been made for this. The invitation for the festival has already been sent to all schools.” he said.

Four groups of children have been formed for state-level competition. The first group will be of children up to class V, while the second group will have participants from class VI to class VIII. Similarly, students of classes IX and X will be in third group and students of class XI and XII will be participating in fourth group.

In the five-day long festival, various competitions including solo dance, group dance, solo song, poster making, painting, rangoli, fancy dress, card making, face painting, candle decoration etc will be organised.
