DDA to set up six socio-cultural centres

New Delhi: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is planning to open six socio-cultural centres in the city. The first such centre is likely to come up in northwest Delhi’s Rohini. 

The centre to be set up at Sector 10, Rohini will be a centre to performing arts, indoor and outdoor recreational activities, mall and convention centre, among others. Made on a budget of Rs. 350 crore, the project is spread on 11.2 acres of land and is likely to be completed in three-and-a-half years.

The other five areas where similar centres will be set up are Dwarka’s Sector 11 (10 acres), Vasant Kunj (11.2 acres), Shahdara's Central Business District (1.5 acres), Netaji Subhash Place (1.5 acres) and Mayur Vihar (2 acres).
