15 metro stations closed on Sunday reopen

New Delhi: A day after services at several metro stations in Delhi were disrupted in view of the ongoing protest over the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB), entry and exit gates of metro stations were opened and services resumed on Monday morning.

A Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) notification on Twitter read: “Security Update: Entry and exit gates at all stations have been opened Normal services have resumed in all stations."

The entry and exit gates of as many as 15 metro stations were closed on Sunday night.

The decision to reopen the metro stations was taken on the advice of the Delhi Police, said the DMRC.

“As advised by Delhi Police, entry and exit gates of Sukhdev Vihar and gate no. 3 of Ashram have been closed. Trains will not be halting at Sukhdev Vihar," DMRC had tweeted on Sunday.
