New Delhi: The National Capital woke up to a foggy morning on Thursday morning with minimum temperature settling at 5.2 degree Celsius, three notches below the season’s average. 

This is the season’s lowest temperature recorded in Delhi so far and also the lowest in 6 years. 

While the Safdarjung Observatory recorded a minimum temperature of 5.2 degree Celsius, Palam Obsrvatory recorded the temperature at 5.4 degree Celsius. 

According to the meteorological department, the maximum temperature today is likely to hover around 19 degree Celsius. On Wednesday, minimum temperature was 7 degrees Celsius.

The condition will prevail in neighbouring states like Gurugram, Noida and Faridabad.
