Dwarka: The South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) had beautified the corners around the signals of sectors 5, 6, 10, 11 near the sports complex in Dwarka. But, when you go close to the corner at Sector 6, you would be surprised to see that constructed structure and the space around it are in pathetic condition.
The structure which depicts the modern art has been in damaged state on both the sides. It happened because the base of the structure got weaker.
Not only this but also the structures are in uprooted state or broken. The entire area seems to be lying unattended by the maintaining agency SDMC.
Sanjeev Kumar, a resident of Sector 6 said, “You can see a board of SDMC stating that the space was developed by SDMC and the agency is responsible for its upkeep. But looking at the condition, one could say that it is sheer negligence and wastage of money.”
The entrire area is full of filth. Sometimes, people are see using it as urnial. People also said that the nomads and homeless live around it and use the space for open defecation too.
Sunita Yadav, a resident of the area said, “You could sense foul smell while passing from that stretch. SDMC is claiming for cleanliness and here the beautified place is in such bad shape. They need to take it into concern.”
