Members of the United Forum of Residents, a pressure group, on Sunday met Mahesh Sharma, MP from Noida and Greater Noida, to demand extension of metro rail service to their residential pocket.

Vinod K Nair, convener of the forum, said they had a meeting with Sharma at his office in Sector 27. He said they had demanded extension of metro lines up to Anand Vihar via Mayur Vihar phase third. 

Sharma gave a patient hearing to them and noted the inconvenience caused to them due to inadequate public transport service. 

Nair said that they were happy after getting an assurance from Sharma that he would hold a meeting with the minister of urban affair to convey the matter and urge him to consider the residents' demand on priority. 

He said that he heard us very positively and understood the demand that they have been asking for. He said that they have got a positive response for fixing a meeting with minister of urban affair for accepting representation from them.
