Greater Noida: In a unique gesture, Peer-to-Peer Help in Greater Noida West served piping hot tea to the passersby on Sunday to beat the spine-chilling cold.

A few volunteers of the social group took the initiative to arrange what they called as a 'chai langar' for around 100 helping staff of societies around the Galleria market in Gaur City 2.

What’s more, the organisers have decided to hold the chai langar every Saturday and Sunday at 7 in morning for the helpers, maids, rickshaw wallas, etc. who have to go to work early in the morning during winters.

Keeping the environment aspect in mind, the volunteers had also arranged cardboard dustbin to throw away the waste after the langar.

Notably, the foundation also displayed clothes on the rope for the needy in front of 14th avenue Gaur City-2. People could choose from the clothes on display.

Talking to Cityspidey, Vivek, one of the volunteers, said "We had been collecting clothes from different societies of Gaur City-2 and had put a cloth donation box outside each society where people could donate their old clothes.”

“After enough clothes were collected, we identified a spot and put them on display for the needy to do 'free shopping' and choose and pick whatever they liked,” He added.

Peer-to-Peer was started a year-and-a-half ago. Ever since, it has been carrying out many such social initiatives for the poor and needy in and around Greater Noida West.
