Noida: Residents and office bearers of Supertech Capetown, a residential society, on Sunday distributed reusable woolen clothes to the needy living in slums at Sectors 80 and 116 in Noida.
Arun Sharma, president of Apartment Owner Association (AOA), Mahesh Yadav, vice president, Praveen Bhardwaj, treasurer, Baldev Raj, an active citizen, distributed around 1,000 clothes to kids, senior citizens, ladies and gents from weaker sections of the society.
According to Sharma, most of these families work as construction workers, labourers in small industries and domestic help. He said that these migrant labourers from states like Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Eastern Uttar Pradesh earn a meagre salary and thus cannot afford to buy expensive woolen clothes to fight winters.

The AOA team and the active residents of Capetown put the carton boxes in each of the 40 towers in the society around 15 days ago with an appeal from each family to donate at least one cloth.
They collected all the clothes donated by each residential tower and then separated them according to age and gender.
Sharma said that residents of Capetown have been collecting and distributing clothes to the needy for the last five years.
Sharma extended his sincere thanks to all the residents and volunteers of Capetown for their contribution in this noble cause.
