Industries and commercial establishments in Noida and Greater Noida are now free to choose any day for weekly off. Earlier, they had to observe mandatory weekly off on Tuesday.
District Administration has also relaxed the opening and closing schedule for industries.
The new a schedule for Noida Phase I is 8.30m to 5.30 pm and for Phase III, it is 9.30 am to 6.30 pm. The schedule for other sectors/phases remains the same.
Malls, medical stores, hotels and restaurants are allowed to function on all days of the week. But these are required to give a weekly off to their workers on any day of the week.
This plan was initially enforced on January 1, this year, on trial basis, to curb pollution and streamline traffic. It has been extended after the successful trial.
