New Delhi: Federation of group housing society, IP Extension, is all set to host inter society sports tournament, Sparkle 2019-20. It was inaugurated on Sunday by MLA OP Sharma who lit the lamp and released a bunch of colourful balloons.
Out of 118 societies, 14 have registered to participate in the tournament which will go on for two-months. The last date for registeration is December 29, 2019.
Mr. Ajay Gupta, General Secretary/ Chief Co-ordinator of the sports tournament, said, “The inter society sports tournament will end on 9th February with a colourful cultural programe, fancy dress competition followed by prize distribution. All 118 societies can participate."
Badminton, Carrom, Chess, Table Tennis, Karate are some of the sports in which the residents can participate. There will be on the spot painting also. Each event will be divided into 3-4 categories.
“We are expecting more than 2,000 participants this year as we have also extended the registeration date,” added Sharma.
