New Delhi: Dwarka's Sector 3 hosted sports and fun activities for underprivileged children to mark Christmas.

Organised by Choti Si Khushi, an NGO working on education of children and empowerment of the women belonging to underprivileged sections of the society, the event saw hundreds of kids participating in various sports activities including race, kho-kho, kabaddi etc.

Area ACP Rajendra Singh took time off his busy schedule to witness the event. He interacted with the children after distributing prizes to the winners of different sports events.

The officer exhorted the children to be always confident and pursue education against all the odds they might face in life. On being asked by the children how they could become like him, the ACP advised them to work hard and gave older children tips to join the police force.

"You all are future of the Nation and I am sure you would do great in life," he told the kids.

After the event, the kids were served milk and banana and a message to make them seaside about health. Philanthropists from across the city took part in the event and distributed gifts among the children and women.

Madhu Dagar, an entrepreneur from Crescent Apartments Sector 18A distributed stationary among the children.
