Midnight outage a cause for concern in Anarkali Colony

New Delhi: While rest of Delhi is enjoying free power supply, some areas of East Delhi are still facing intermittent outages eventhough it is peak winter when power is supposed to be in excess. Anarkali Colony is one such locality which is experiencing power cut in the middle of the night, at 2 am to be precise, for long.

Residents of  Anarkali Colony have lodged their complaint against the mid-night power cuts to the power authority several times. However, they are yet to get relief from the outages.

Kashish Bansal, a resident of the colony, said, “Every time we complain about irregular power supply in the colony, we get a standard reply from the authority officials: the matter would be resolved soon. We have also written to local MLA, SK Bagga, but have not got any answer as yet.”

Meanwhile, more than 100 households in the colony are suffering from the unwarranted power cut at 2 am everyday.
