New Delhi: The Delhi government on Tuesday flagged off 100 more new cluster buses to facilitate ease of transport on the city's roads.

The orange colour buses (cluster buses) are equipped with state-of-the-art feature like hydraulic lift for differently-abled persons, GPS trackers, panic buttons and CCTV cameras to ensure safety of women.

After flagging off new buses, the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, “I have flagged off 100 more buses today. Now, many new buses have hit Delhi’s roads over the past few months. It is my dream to modernise Delhi’s public transport infrastructure so that it becomes a comfortable option for every citizen.”

These newly introduced buses will ply on 16 different routes in the city. Out of the total 100 buses, 12 will operate between Tilak Nagar and Bakkargarh Border, 12 will ply between Auchandi Border to Azadpur, 11 from Inderlok to Dasna Border, 9 buses will ply between Old Delhi and Ramzanpur Village while same number of buses will run between Singhu Border to Tikri Border.

Similarly, three buses will originate from Tilak Nagar to end at Jaffarpur Kalan, six buses will ply from Sultanpur Dabas to Old Delhi Railway Station and eight from Nilothi Extension to Mori Gate.

Six buses have been added for route between Narela to Najafgarh, similarly eight buses added on route between Singhu Border to Kamla Market.
