Illegal encroachments are on the rise in Greater Noida residential sectors. In Sector Beta 1, for example, some shacks selling alcohol have cropped up almost overnight.
The sector's RWA has written to the ACEO, Greater Noida Development Authority (GNDA), PC Gupta, about residents being worried about these illegal shacks, which are a major security, and law and order issue. The RWA has urged GNDA to remove them as soon as possible.
The RWA secretary, Harendra Bhati, told City Spidey that over the past few days, they have been receiving complaints of burglary and theft from residents. "Acting on our complaint, ACEO PC Gupta sent a few officials over to investigate, and assured us of immediate action," he said.
While talking to City Spidey, Gupta confirmed that he would be solving the problem soon.
