Noida: Chief Executive Officer of Noida Industrial Development Authority on Friday directed the officers with work circle-2 to resume the development work of damaged culvert shortly.
The top officer's direction came after a meeting with the office-bearers of RWA, Sector 19.
The old culvert connecting two residential blocks, B and C, had fallen apart a few months ago. Ever since its redevelopment is pending. RC Gupta, an office-bearer of the RWA, said they impressed upon the CEO on the need to resume the suspended construction work on the damaged culvert.
Meanwhile, the damaged culvert is causing inconvenience to visitors to the offices of India Post and city magistrate. These offices are located on two sides of the drain on which the culvert is to be redeveloped.
Gupta informed that they had also proposed installation of a passenger lift in the two-storey building of the community centre of the sector. But, the authority expressed inability to do so as there was no provision to install a lift in a building of a community centre.
They told her that Rs 15 lakh of their RWA was lying with the authority, which was wrongly given by the ex-president of the RWA to the authority. If the said amount is returned to them, they would be able to fund the lift. She promised them to look into the matter.
