Gurugram: Pataudi MLA Satyaprakash Jrawta assured residents of Microtek Greenburg, a high-rise residential society in Sector 86, Gurugram, of solving their civic problems at the earliest. They had held a meeting with him on Saturday to discuss various civic issues and infrastructural development in the area.

He also promised to talk to the concerned department for the removal of electrical pole and road maintenance. In the meeting with the MLA, the residents apprised him about the problems they were facing including lack of maintenance of roads, abysmal state of policing, beautification of Circle-4, removal of electrical pole in front of the condominium gate among others.

They handed over a memorandum of their demands and sought his intervention on several development issues.

Amit Gupta, a resident of the society, said, "We have demanded shifting of electric pole which is in front of entry/exit gate of condominium as it can pose risk to people. In winters, pole is not visible causing trouble not only for the residents but also for the visitors."

The residents highlighted the pathetic condition of the approach road from Circle 4 to the society which, they alleged, is not maintained properly and are marred by innumerable waterlogged potholes making it difficult for the commuters to wade through. Also, a small patch of road in front of St Xaviers School is incomplete which leads to traffic jams during school hours on the road causing lot of inconvenience for the commuters.

During the meeting, they sought MLA’s permission for the maintenance and beautification of Circle-4 by themselves. “Circle 4 is not adequately maintained hence gives a shabby look. As it is near our society, we would like to beautify and maintain it," said Dinesh Chand Gupta, another resident of the society.

The residents also demanded increased police patrolling in the area especially at night. "Our society is located in a secluded area which becomes unsafe for the residents coming late from office in the night. Women feel unsafe going out. Increase in police patrolling will improve the security of the area," said Ekta Bhanuka, another resident.

The residents sought the MLA’s help in upgradation of enhance healthcare facilities, public transport, expedition in removal of Kherki-Daula toll among other infrastructural developments of New Gurugram.
