End in sight to water woes of Supertech Capetown

Noida: Residents of Supertech Capetown, a high rise in sector 74 here, need not complain any more as the developer is likely to ensure adequate water supply to 1,000 more families by the turn of the next year.

According to source, the developer had shared the schedule with Noida Industrial Development Authority to comply with the order issued to him a few weeks ago.

Early this month, the authority had issued an order along with a challan of Rs 7.35 core to the builder for not obtaining water connection as per the demand in the society.

According to the demand, the developer has obtained completion certificate for apartments housing over 4,400 flats in the society. But it obtained water supply connection of low capacity by which could suffice the demand of just over 500 families. However, the same connection that was blamed for short supply is expected to supply adequate water to the entire society.

Arun Sharma, president of apartments owners’ association (AOA), Capetown, said that the developer shared the schedule with the authority requesting them to allow him (the developer) to complete the requirements in instalments.

He had expressed his inability to deposit the fine in one go as he was going through financial crunch. But, supply capacity will only be enhanced once the developer makes payment for the requisite capacity.

The developer has promised that the first installment would be paid by the end of the year which could clear the decks for enhanced supply capacity for up to one thousand families.

The second installment will be paid in next six months which could ensure an enhanced capacity to supply water to 500 families. This will continue till the target of supply to 4,419 families is met, Sharma informed.
