GB Nagar: Despite heavy fog and low visibility, a few schools in Noida and Greater Noida were open on December 30.
In the pictures below, children of class II can be seen boarding a school bus at 7 am in Noida.
The district administration of Gautam Budh Nagar, on Monday, ordered closure of schools from Nursery till class VIII, for two days i.e. Tuesday and Wednesday (December 31 and January 1), in view of extreme cold conditions and dense fog.

The closure, though restricted to smaller classes, the school can use its power of discretion to bring students of class IX to XII in its ambit.
Sanwarjeet, a resident of Gaur Sports Woods in Noida, told CitySpidey that the daily commute to school early in the morning, when the weather happens to be unusually cold, has taken a toll on his child. His ward has fallen ill and is unable to attend the school.
