Real estate stakeholders invited for pre-budget consultations

New Delhi: Homebuyers and their representatives along with bankers, officials of Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), real estate developers and others will take part in discussion on annual budget preparation at the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) office on Monday.

The dialogue on issues is an initiative of BJP as part of pre-budget consultations.

The dialogue of expertise in different subjects and stakeholders had begun on December 19 and will end on January 14, 2020 and therefore in the ongoing process, December 30 was fixed for homebuyers, bankers and RERA expertise.

As per the circular issues by Gopal Krishna Agarwal (national spokesperson for economic issues, BJP), total 11 sectoral dialogues have been scheduled, covering areas like GST, agriculture, MSME, real estate, pharma, heavy industries, telecommunication and IT, financial sector, and macro economy in general.

The homebuyers who were scheduled to attend the dialogue session said they would raise homebuyers’ issues and advise the government to release stress fund for early completion of stalled projects.

While the GST session will cover IBC and Company Law implementation, agriculture will include supply chain, input cost and crop insurance, food processing, procurement, trading, exports and trade relations etc.

The topic – real estate and construction – will look at issues related to RERA, homebuyers and employment generation.

An invitation letter sent to homebuyers and others by Gopal Krishna Agarwal, read, “Annual Budget making is an important exercise which impacts economic roadmap ahead. Any feedback and suggestion that helps the party and the government to increase its connect with the ground realities are welcome. As a ruling political party, it is always our endeavour to interact with stakeholders on important policy decisions of the government.”

Further details regarding the dialogue session of homebuyers will be updated once it gets over.
