New OPD for senior citizens in RML Hospital

New Delhi: The Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) opened a new Out-Patient Department (OPD) in Orthopedics Department of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Science (ABVIMS) and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital (RML) Hospital on Wednesday.

The OPD for senior citizens and CGHS patients, which was weekly earlier, will now function on daily basis.

Dr Ajay Shukla, head of the department (HOD) Orthopedics said that the RML Hospital is an apex centre for CGHS patients. More than 50 per cent patients are of old age. Because of this the OPD has no waiting period.

MS Dr Meenakshi Bhardwaj says the ABVIMS and Dr. RML Hospital are committed to patient welfare. On the eve of New Year we are glad to inform about the dedicated OPD for senior citizens and orthopedics department.

We hope to start new services in the upcoming year. The new shelter homes are also planned and will be functional in view of extreme weather in the National Capital, be it cold or rain, outside OPD areas.
