GDA officials abstain, first tri-partite meet on Crossings fail to take off 

The first tri-partite meeting between apartment owners associations (AOA), Crossings Infr Pvt. Ltd (CIPL) and officials of Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA), scheduled on Saturday failed to take off as the GDA officials did not show up at the venue. 

The officials cited another urgent meeting requiring their presence as a reason for their absence. However, one of the officials disclosed lack of communication as another reason behind their absence. 

One of the two officials designated to attend the monthly meeting claimed that he was not informed about the meeting by his seniors. "I had to report for another meeting but I was not aware of this tri-partite meeting happening today," said the official. 

When CitySpidey approached the officer in this regard, he, initially, reiterated that the officials had to report for another meeting. But when told that one of the officials was unaware about the meeting, he said there might be some personal issue between them. "Nevertheless, I'll look into this," he added.

Chaubey also assured that the meeting will happen on next working day i.e. Monday. 

The GDA had decided to hold a monthly meeting from this month (January) to address the civic issues of the residents of Crossings Republik,. The authority had asked apex bodies of apartment owners’ associations and CIPL to take part in the meeting. The authority had invited two members each from Federation of Apartment Owners Association (FedAOA) Crossings Republik Owners and Members Association (CROMA), CIPL and designated their assistant and junior engineer for the meeting.

This evasive attitude of the GDA did not come as a surprise to the AOA bodies invited in the meeting. "GDA is notorious for taking Crossings Republik lightly. Their lackadaisical attitude has left many pertinent civic issues pending for many years. I think, now it's time they woke up and took up our matters with the seriousness they deserve," told Sanjay Kumar, a member of FedAOA. 

Besides, members also feel low possibility to attend the meeting rescheduled on Monday. We could have capitalized the weekend. Now will have to suffer my work to attend this meeting on Monday. They (GDA) wasted our time we took out today to attend this meeting. What if we don't get time on Monday? Would it be fruitful? The officials must respect our time," told Ujjawal Mishra, a member of CROMA, agitatedly.
