Noida: In keeping with its promise to make Noida a beautiful city, the Noida Development Authority on Sunday inaugurated a lush green garden at sector 77.  What is noteworthy about the park is that it was turned from a dump yard.

Local MLA Pankaj Singh and Ritu Maheshwari, chief executive officer of the authority, cut the ribbon to officially announce the opening of the beautifully landscaped garden. They also planted saplings on the occasion.

The garden is located beside a road crossing near North Eye and an under construction high rise in Sector 74. Officials placed several potted plants and flowers, made artworks on the walls and fenced it with nets made from iron wire.

Arun Sharma, president of society management board, Supertech Capetown, another high rise in sector 74, expressed his happiness over having a beautiful landscape beside his society.
He said earlier the area wore shabby look due to dump yard. The garden gave the locality a new look changing the ambience of the entire locality.
He called it a good initiative by the authority to turn a dump-yards into a lush green garden.
