Greater Noida: A man was allegedly looted and murdered on Monday night in Greater Noida West. Gaurav Chandel was a resident of Gaur City’s 5th Avenue.
Preet Bhargava, a resident of Gaur City told CitySpidey that while driving his car, Chandel called his wife around 10 pm and told his wife that he will reach home in next 10-15 minutes, however, he did not reach his home.
After thirty minutes, Chandel's wife made another call to enquire his whereabout but her phone went unanswered. She got worried about him and informed some other residents who were close to the family.
Residents then reached Bishrakh police station and informed the police. They kept on searching for him till late night. Later, when they were returning to Gaur City, they found Chandel's body lying between Parthala Chowk and Hindon bridge.
Bhargava said, “When we reached Bishrakh police station and informed and requested for police's help, we were told that his phone would be traced in the morning.”
He said that after seeing Chandel's body lying there, police were informed. Chandel's mobile, laptop and Kia Seltos car were missing.
Residents then called Yatharth Hospital for Ambulance and Chandel was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
“Later, police came to the society and body was taken for post mortem,” Bhargava said.
