New Delhi: Three civic issues were taken up and resolved by a standing committee of the East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) in as many minutes at a meeting held at its office on Monday.
It took just three minutes to conclude the meeting as there a consensus among all members was assumed. Not a single question was raised by the Opposition members.
In view of the upcoming season of vector-born diseases, the civic agency proposed to float a tender for domestic breeding checker (DBC). The proposal was approved.
Firstly, the DBC can work on the same terms and conditions (T&C) in the next financial year as well. Secondly, the breeding checking drive will go on 24×7 without a single day's rest. Lastly, it is the issue of basis of essential medicine.
The public relation officer (PRO) of the EDMC said, “The quantity and quality of essential medicine has been approved, now we can purchase much better medicine for healthcare centre of the area.”
According to a source, the meeting was carried out covertly without a single from the Opposition.
