New Delhi: A on-the spot painting competition was held at the Sparkle 2019-20, an inter-society annual sports tournament, at Narwana Apartment. The tournament is organised by Federation of Group Housing Societies (Regd.), IP Extension.

More than 250 children, from class Nursery to 12th, and their parents from different societies participated in the competition.The participants were divided into seven groups. They were even given prizes.

General Secretary and Chief Coordinator of the tournament, Mr. Ajay Gupta, briefed about the rules of the tournament. He said, “The month-long tournament will end with a colourful cultural programme, fancy-dress competition on February 9, followed by a prize distribution ceremony.”

The events will be held in 14 different societies and a school in the complex. Residents of all the 118 societies are eligible to participate in these events, which include badminton, carrom, chess, table-tennis, on the spot painting, karate, etc.

Each event is subdivided into 3-4 categories according to the age of the participants. From kids to senior citizens, everyone can participate. The organisers expect the total participation to touch 2,000 mark. Participation certificates would be given to all the participants at the end of the event.

Municipal Councillor- Babita Khanna, Naresh Gupta- President Rajdhani Nikunj, Raman Agarwal - CMD of Mangal Sweets, Hemant Gupta - Gen Secretary, Narwana Apartment, Rotary Club President - Vidhya Bhushan Aggarwal, Ashok Dargan - Treasurer, CA Satish Agrawal - coordinator, conveners Berkha Sokhi from Solitaire School, CA Sanjay Agarwal and CA Shalini Agarwal graced the occasion. The conveners also arranged light refreshment and games to entertain the accompanying parents.
