Gurugram: To ensure early redressal of public grievances, officials of Municipal Corporation Of Gurugram (MCG) reached out to the residents of ward no. 6 on Sunday. During the meeting, the MCG officials were directed to solve the problems raised by the residents within a week.

The meeting was held at Municipal Park in Sector 14 and was chaired by local Councilor Anoop Singh and Joint Corporator Gaurav Antil. 

MCG Joint Commissioner Gaurav Antil said that the problems that do not take much time would be solved immediately. As for the problems that require time, an estimate and deadline for their solution would be prepared. 

Another meeting was held at ward no. 30 where the residents demanded solution to the monkey menace in their area.

Presiding over the meeting, local Councilor Mahesh Dayma highlighted the problems in the area and made an appeal to the officials for early resolution. Removal of illegally built speed-breakers, monkey and dog menace, sanitation and lack of sanitation workers, clogged drains among other issues were raised during the meeting.

MCG Joint Commissioner Hariom Atri told the residents that the work was allocated to agencies to deal with the monkey menace. 

"For complaints related to monkeys, one can contact 9568576200, 8058409681 and 9314198846. Special instructions will be given to the concerned agencies to make Ward-30 free from monkeys. The agency would be asked to carry out vaccination and sterilization of stray dogs in the area,” he said
