New Delhi: Parts of Delhi-NCR received light rains on Wednesday morning due to the prevalence of fresh western disturbance.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature in the National Capital was recorded at 12 degrees Celsius, while maximum temperature was recorded at 17 degrees Celsius.

As per Met officials, a western disturbance is influencing Delhi-NCR since Monday evening.

According to Skymet Weather, an agency that provides weather forecast, the weather will clear up by evening as the western disturbance will move away.

However, the pollution level in the city remained in the 'poor category' for the third consecutive day in spite of rain. The Air Quality Index (AQI) on Wednesday stood at 242, said the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR). 

Delhi received light rain on Tuesday also with the minimum temperature recorded at 11.6 degrees Celsius, four notches above the normal. The maximum temperature settled at 19 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year.

The weatherman has forecast dense fog in Delhi in the next two days.
