Gurugram: The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) on Wednesday set up a vigilance wing to keep a check on the irregularities and malpractices in the civic body.
MCG Commissioner, Vinay Pratap Singh, issued orders to constitute the vigilance wing of the civic body.
The vigilance wing will be headed by the Additional Commissioner Amardeep Jain and he will be assisted by the Superintendent Engineer Satyavan Sharma.
An order issued by the Municipal Commissioner stated that all types of complaints in CM Window, PM portal grievances, grievances before Lokayukta, matter related to the State Vigilance Bureau and other enquiries will be carried out by the vigilance wing.
He has directed all the wings of the civic body to cooperate in the investigation carried out by vigilance wing.
The vigilance wing has been fully authorised to hire a third party for collection and sampling. The collection and samples received will be tested at Shriram Lab and Lab of State Government in 50-50 per cent ratio. Ten per cent of the samples of construction work will be checked randomly by vigilance wing.
