Greater Noida West: Criminals in Greater Noida west seem to be in no mood to give the beleaguered police any respite. On Saturday morning, a white Santro bearing Haryana number was stolen from a park opposite a famous school in the area.

Like any other Saturday, Praveen Kumar, the car owner, along with his friends from Spring Meadows and Nirala Estate, was busy playing a cricket match in a park opposite Ryan International School.

After the match, when Praveen, along with the two teams and 30 others, came out, he found his car missing even though the tire marks were very much intact. Strangely none of the 12-odd other cars of his friends parked on the same spot was left touched.

"Seeing the tire marks, we thought whosoever took the car might have headed towards Cherry County," recalls Praveen.

He told CitySpidey that people, who had arrived just 10 minutes before the match concluded, said they had seen the car.

After enquiring with passersby and vendors around, the car owner along with his friends went to Cherry County police post from where they were directed to Bisrakh police station as the police post had no official. The officials of Cherry County post were suspended for their inaction in Gaurav Chandel case on Friday and no new official has been appointed yet.

Soon, the worried and exhausted group reached Bisrakh police station where they were told that the information about the missing car had already been notified over wireless. Praveen told CitySpidey that the car will be kept under surveillance for today and an FIR copy will be given on Sunday.
