New Delhi: The Delhi Traffic Police on Monday issued an advisory for people coming from Noida to either take Akshardham or DND Flyway to reach Delhi.

The advisory was issued as road number 13 A between Mathura Road and Kalindi Kunj is closed for vehicular movement due to the ongoing protest over Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC) by the residents of Shaheen Bagh.

“Road No. 13A between Mathura Road and Kalindi Kunj is closed for traffic movement. People coming from Noida are advised to take DND or Akshardham to reach Delhi,” tweeted the Delhi Police.

It has been 28 days since the residents of the area, Shaheen Bagh, have occupied road no. 13A.

Meanwhile, on Sunday residents of Sarita Vihar staged a protest demonstration demanding that the barricades be removed and the stretch opened. They said that office-goers and school children were facing problem because of the protest.

Due to the closure of Kalindi Kunj road, commuters use DND Flyway to commute to Noida and Delhi which results in massive jam. Closure of road number 13A has doubled the average time between Delhi and Noida.
