New Delhi: A dog, Kaalu, hogged limelight recently for his contributions to make society best secured in Dwarka. He was abandoned in a very bad condition by his owners around ten years back. But, the guards at the DJA Apartments embraced him with both hands and made him part of the security system.
Now, as the story circulated, many people have come forward with claims that the dog belongs to them.
Society's Ex-President, Jai Kumar Sharma said that firstly a group came from Najafgarh which claimed ownership of dog and requested to hand him over to them. They said that he was their dog which was named as 'Cherry' by them. They continued to say that the dog escaped from their home many years ago.
As per the Ex-President, five other groups have also come after that to claim ownership of the dogs. He infomed, “Interstingly, the dog is not recognising anyone of them. In fact, the dog is barking at them when they came close to him.”

“It is intriguing how so many claims have come after the publishing of news. The claimants are even entering into heated arguments with the guards forcing them to give their dog back,” he said.
Amid all this, the society's management has decided that they will keep the dog with themselves. The guards said that they adopted the dog when he was abandoned and left to die. They said that the dog is now an integral part of the society's security system. They asserted that he will continue to be with them.
