Delhi polls: Krishna Nagar residents to put demands in front of candidates

New Delhi: As the political parties are set to release their manifestos ahead of Delhi Assembly elections, the residents of Krishna Nagar in East Delhi have prepared a long list of developmental demands required in their constituency.

The Residents Welfare Association (RWA) of Krishna Nagar, one of the assembly constituency in East Delhi, along with RWA Bhagidari made a list of 27 issues which will be raised with the political parties or their candidates.

The list includes – traffic jams, unauthorised parking, bad air quality, illegal encroachment, solid waste management (SWM), connectivity of metro line in some parts of Krishna Nagar, pure drinking water etc.

The representatives of RWAs alleged that civic facilities have become worst in past few years in East Delhi .

The RWAs said that the residents of Delhi want public centric manifestos from all political parties and it should not only be just an announcement. They also said that the parties should also mention a time period for completion of work which will be mentioned in their manifestos.

BS Vohra, head of RWA Bhagidari said, “Delhi is still struggling with basic facilities. We would not hesitate to press NOTA button if time period for completion of work is not mentioned in the manifestos.”
