Noida: The auspicious festival of Lohri, which is associated with harvesting of rabi crops, was celebrated in various societies of 7x sectors on Monday. Lohri is a popular winter Punjabi folk festival.

Hundreds of residents gathered around the bonfire, praying for an auspicious year ahead and danced to the tunes of Punjabi folk songs.

A bunch of residents from the society took rounds, danced and sang folk songs to celebrate Lohri.

The cultural committee of the society organised the Lohri celebration where over 300 residents relished on mouth-watery food and danced to the DJ tunes. Solo dance performances followed by group dance were also seen.

In Zodiac different celebrations were organised tower wise, where both young and old were seen dressed up to mark the end of winters and welcome the new harvest festival.

Celebration in this society was with the tunes of dhol and nagara. Women and children were seen dancing in the circles and a huge gathering was organised.
