A forum of RWAs and Managing Committees, Dwarka Forum (DF), met DDA officials to discuss ways to improve the condition of parks in the sub-city.
Their suggestions included development of lawns along roadsides, regular disposal of horticulture waste, and repair of broken walls and gates inside parks.
“We also suggested that Horticulture Division liaise with various RWAs/CGHSs to encourage regular plantation drives," said Sardar Arvinder Singh Chhatwal, Joint Secretary, DF.
DDA agreed to provide detailed schedules of future plantation and pruning drives to the Forum.
Chhatwal said that the Deputy Director (Horticulture Division), DDA, Prem Chandra assured them complete support. The next meeting on the subject would include officials from Civil and Electrical divisions of the DDA and Prem Chandra.
