Registration process of Amrapali flats starts with nine buyers

Noida: In a big relief to the beleaguered homebuyers, the registration process for Amrapali flats started on Thursday. Initially, nine buyers of Sapphire I and II and Platinum got their properties registered.

However, the other buyers will also start getting certificates soon as their papers were approved by respective authority. As per source, the court receiver R Venkatramani said that the registration process will be done in batches of 20-25.

Out of the 14,000 buyers, who have been waiting for registration of flats, documents of 1,800 residents have been examined. On the other hand, documents of 450 buyers were due for scrutiny at Greater Noida Authority.

In the first round of registrations, 519 buyers from Sapphire I and 832 from Sapphire II have been shortlisted. Buyers from Amrapali Platinum have also been approved for registration.

The process of registration are being done at the Sector 33 sub-registrar's office. 

An order of the Supreme Court read, “With respect to projects of Amrapali, viz, Sapphire I, Zodiac and Princely Estate tenders have been finalised by NBCC. A sum of Rs 14 crore is to be paid to them at this stage. Let the amount be released to NBCC.”
