In separate incidents, two women commit suicide in Delhi

New Delhi: The police on Friday said that two women committed suicide in two separate incidents in the national capital. 

In north Delhi's Burari area, a 28-year-old woman was found dead in suspicious condition. As per police,  the family informed them that she got married in January last year. They said that she used to tortured by her husband and in-laws.

The family also levelled allegations that she did not commit suicide but was murdered. After the complaints from victim's family, the police registered a case under relevant sections.

A senior police official talking to TOI said, “A medical board will conduct the post-mortem on Saturday at Maulana Azad Medical College.”

In another incident, a woman allegedly committed suicide after jumping from the house at Pandav Nagar in east Delhi.

A senior police official said that the family of the victim claimed that she was murdered.

Police said, “The report of post mortem is awaited. A case has been registered.”
