Noida: In a meeting with the office-bearers of the Federation of Noida Resident Welfare Association (FONRWA), on Saturday, Sankalp Sharma, the new Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of zone-1 and the DCP promised tighter security in the city.

A delegation of the federation had called on the new DCP to discuss the law and order situation in the city.

KK Jain, secretary-general of the federation, said they have proposed a joint meeting with all resident welfare associations (RWA) in the city. 

He said, "Now that the police commissioner system has been enforced in the city, we requested the DCP to convene a joint meeting to discuss issues in detail with him. This will also help the new administration understand the nature of the issues."


They also urged the deputy commissioner to ensure law and order with elaborate security arrangements in place for the safety of residents. 

Federation President Yogendra Sharma said that they explained the role of the federation to the DCP and assured their coordination for better security.

As per the attendees, DCP Sharma assured that a tighter security arrangement will be implemented in the area and that he will soon organise a meeting with the RWAs from across the city.

Col (retired) SK Vaidya, vice-president of the federation, OP Yadav, secretary (legal), TC Gaur, Secretary and SP Chauhan were also present at the meeting.
