New Delhi: With Delhi assembly elections drawing closer candidates can be seen trying to woo the voters with all sorts of antiques. A BJP candidate rode on an e-rickshaw to reach the venue for his nomination.
When asked why he opted for a humble mode of transport, Suman Kumar Gupta, the candidate from Chandni Chowk constituency said, “We just are trying to convey the message of simplicity to everyone.”
Gupta is contesting the polls against the sitting MLA, Alka Lamba, a formidable candidate from the Congress.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal hit the ground with a massive roadshow before filing his nomination. But later, he had to postpone his programme.
