Noida: Continuing with its drive against garbage dumping in the open, the Noida Industrial Development Authority on Tuesday imposed a hefty fine on a private company found guilty.
According to officials of the authority, a fine of Rs 50,000 has been imposed on M/s Nobel Moulds Pvt. Ltd., a private company in A-30/31 Hosiery Complex, for gross violation of solid waste management (SWM) rules.
The authority has deployed its staff at several locations to keep a check on garbage dumping in the open. They would come early in the morning and urge residents against throwing garbage in the open as it was a violation of SWM rules.
The officials said that they have been making efforts to clear the city of garbage. They are also urging the residents to co-operate with them.
