Gurugram: The District Town Planner (DTP) of Gurugram issued a notice to Mapsko, a builder, regarding complaints from the residents of Mapsko Casa Bella located in Sector 82.
The DTP directed the builder to resolve the issue of fire safety, seepage from expansion joints, inadequate capacity of STP and rainwater harvesting system and breakage and suspension of lifts.
The builder was directed to submit an action plan with short time lines for resolution of the issues within 15 days.
The residents had complained against the builder on CM Window and had sought cancellation of Completion Certificate (CC) issued to the builder.
The direction was issued to the builder after a joint inspection of the society conducted by the officials of DTP Planning on Friday at the request of the residents.
In their complaint, the residents alleged that the builder had not completed the construction, fire and safety work which is mandatory to get the occupation certificate (OC) and completion certificate (CC). They wanted a cancellation of the OC and CC till the completion of the pending work.
Herman Oberoi, a resident of the society said, “A few days ago, a fire broke out in one of the flats of the society. But nobody noticed it as the fire alarm failed to detect any smoke. Though there was no major loss, the incident caused panic among the residents. This is the state of affair in one of the posh condominiums of the city. We don’t even feel safe at our homes.”
The project was launched in 2008 and spread across 19.5 acres. It has a total of 11 towers with 912 flats and 44 villas in which more than 800 families are living.
The residents said they were facing problem ever since they shifted to their flats.
Dharamveer Singh, president of Mapsko Casa Bella, said, “There are several discrepancies in the society left unresolved by the builder despite our repeated requests. We have even approached concerned departments, but the problem persists. Now, we are hoping some swift action to redress our grievances.”
