New Delhi: With just two weeks left in Delhi Assembly polls which is scheduled on February 8, the release of final lists of candidates in three-corner fight between BJP, AAP and Congress is to be followed by high voltage rallies.

The ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is testing its luck third time with success in the last two consecutive wins in 2013 and 2015. Chief convener Arvind Kejriwal is star campaigner for the party. On the other hand, both BJP and Congress have also released their long list of star campaigners Wednesday.

The lists of both BJP and the Congress star campaigners have big faces of their respective wings. They have been fielded considering the regional and impact leaders to convince people living in Delhi.

The Congress fielded cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu and veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha as star campaigners along with senior Congress leaders - Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Manmohan Singh etc.

The Congress’ star campaigners’ list was released on Wednesday. It mentioned the names of chief ministers of Congress-ruled states, such as Ashok Gehlot, Kamal Nath, Amarinder Singh among others, who have been assigned to campaign for the party in the capital elections. Ghulam Nabi Azad, Nadeem Javed, Kirti Azad, Ragini Nayak also featured in the list.

BJP too have a long list of star campaigners, which includes Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP chief JP Nadda. The list also includes actors Hema Malini and Sunny Deol, singer Hans Raj Hans, Bhojpuri stars Ravi Kishan and Dinesh Lala Yadav ‘Nirahua’ and cricketer-turned politican and BJP MP Gautam Gambhir.

Union ministers Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Anurag Thakur, Mukhtar Abbar Naqvi and Thawarchand Gehlot will also campaign for the party, which won only three seats out of 70 in 2015 Delhi polls.

These campaigners will convince voters to support the BJP, which is out of power in Delhi for over two decades.
The list also mentioned chief ministers of BJP-ruled states like Yogi Adityanath, Jairam Thakur, Manoharlal Khattar, Trivendra Singh Rawat and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan as campaigners.

The single-phased elections for Delhi Assembly will be held on February 8, and the counting will take place on February 11.
