New Delhi: Delhi woke up to chilly Sunday morning on with the minimum temperature dipping to 4.8 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal while the maximum temperature recorded was 21.4 degrees Celsius, a point below normal. 

According to Met Department forecast, the maximum and minimum temperature in the city will hover around 22 and 7 degrees Celsius respectively. 

A light rain is expected in Delhi-NCR on Tuesday as a fresh and active western disturbance is likely to affect West Himalayan region from Monday night onwards in Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan. A light rain or drizzle is expected on Wednesday too. 

The Air Quality Index (AQI) deteriorated from 151 (‘moderate’ category) on Friday to 250 (‘poor’ category) on Saturday.

As per the System of Air Quality Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), the AQI may further worsen to ‘very poor’ category on Sunday. However, a fresh western disturbance is likely to improve the air quality on Monday.
