New Delhi: Resident welfare association (RWA) of Ram Nagar, East Delhi, celebrated the 71st Republic Day with traditional fervour.
The day started with residents gathering at a community park of the area early in the morning and hoisting the national flag. The national anthem was sung on the occasion.
Children sporting the tricolour painted on their faces. Tricolour balloons were also released in the air to commemorate the day.
Vivek Gulati, resident of Ram Vihar, said that five societies came together to celebrate the Republic Day. After flag hoisting, sweets were distributed.
