Walking gets tough across Dwarka after repeated winter rains

Dwarka: Repeated winter rains have made the lives difficult for the residents of Dwarka. People are struggling due to mud created by rains. The situation has worsened due to the digging for laying electricity cable wires.

Mostly, the service lanes were dug up and left as it is without any restoration. The stretches of digging area are long and deep. The soil is spread over the surface of the roads. These service roads have entry and exit gates of the societies.

The residents have no way to escape the mud while commuting to and from their residences round the clock. Such roads can be seen easily all across Dwarka. It can be seen at sectors 10, 5, 4, 19, etc.

Residents facing the tough situation talking to CitySpidey said that the authority should immediately start restoration work.

General secretary of RWA, Studio Apartments in Sector 16B, Ramesh Mumukshu said, “The subject of dug up roads and incomplete work amid rains has become a topic of discussion in the residents’ groups of the area. The situation was equally bad during rainy season last year.”

“The authority must take the subject seriously as service roads are the roads which are in use for 24 hours by the residents living in the nearby societies,” he concluded.
