New Delhi: The magnificent tableaux of the Ministry of Jal Shakti and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been adjudged as the best tableaux among the six tableaux from different ministries and departments.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh awarded the best tableau award to both the ministry at Rashtriya Rangshala Camp in Delhi on January 28, 2020.

The tableau of the Ministry of Jal Shakti highlighted the government’s new initiative ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ which aims at providing Functional Household Tap Connection (FHTC) to every rural household by 2024. It was one of the central attraction of this year’s Republic Day Parade.
In his Independence Day address last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the launch of Jal Jeevan Mission to provide potable water in adequate quantity and prescribed quality on regular basis to every rural household by 2024.
The NDRF’s tableau displayed the force’s successful journey of humanitarian service in natural and man-made disasters with the slogan 'Aapda Sewa Sadaiv'.
Apart, Assam’s tableau was named the best tableau among all the 16 states and union territories participating at the Republic Day Parade 2020.The theme of the tableau was 'Land of Unique Craftsmanship and Culture'.
There was a tie between the tableaux of Uttar Pradesh and Odissa who secured the second position.
The tableau of the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) won a special prize for showing different parts of the country. The tableau, with the theme 'Kashmir se Kanyakumari', was decorated with colourful flowers.
