Gurugram: A team of enforcement wing of the Municipal Corporation of Gururgam (MCG), on Wednesday, sealed an illegal structure and a gate at the Old Delhi Road purported to be part of an illegal colony coming up at the site.
According to MCG officials, four days ago, they received a tip-off that preparations were on to develop an illegal colony on a 15-acre land opposite Kendriya Vidyalaya.
After an inspection of the area, the MCG officials found an illegal structure of seven storeys. Construction of a pathway with the help of JCB was underway in the area.
“The team sealed the illegal colony and filed a complaint with the police to ensure no further construction is carried out at the site. We will keep a vigil on this area,” said Amit Kumar, assistant engineer, the enforcement wing of the MCG.
