Gurugram: The residents of Mapsko Casa Bella, a residential society in Sector 82, worshipped Goddess Saraswati, who embodies knowledge, wisdom, art and music, on Wednesday to mark the celebration of Basant Panchami.

A special worship was organised by the temple committee of the society. Residents of the society visited the temple and paid their obeisance to the Goddess. People wore yellow clothes and offered yellow traditional food to the Goddess which is considered as her favourite.

After the worship, prasad (religious offering) were distributed among the devotees, who were relishing the delicious recipes.

As the day is considered as an auspicious occasion for students, tiny tots of the neighbourhood playschool also visited the temple and prayed for wisdom and knowledge.

Kamla Parasad, a resident of the society said, “We celebrated every Indian festival together in the society. Kids were taught about the significance of this day to instill the ethos of Indian tradition and cultural.”
