Noida: Residents of Century Apartment, especially children, on Friday demanded the concerned officials to initiate necessary action to solve their problems.
They complained that the society was developed by the Noida Industrial Development Authority a decade ago. Since then the electricity supply line was mended several times by the officials of the power distribution corporation who had left the cable uncover. The uncovered cable is now posing a threat to them.
Residents complained that the live cable was damaged at several points inviting a serious incident of electrocution.
Pavan Yadav, President of RWA Century Apartment, said that they were living under the threat of electrocution. He said, "The damaged live cable is lying on the road in the society which may pose danger to the children. There are chances of children stepping on the cable while playing.”
Residents had earlier taken the issue with the concerned officer of the corporation. But it is yet to be solved. Yadav said that they had earlier took the issue with the authority also but no action has been taken till date.
