New Delhi: Ministry of Health and Family Welfare stopped the export of Mask N-95 and other disinfected material. A notification to this effect was, on Friday, sent to all stakeholders including chemists and druggists association.

N-95 Mask is used to cover mouth and nose to prevent any type of air-borne infection including the ongoing coronavirus. Under the aforementioned notice, this essential equipment will not be sent out of the country till further instructions.

Amit Yadav, director general, Directorate General of Foreign Trade, said, "We have received a huge demand for such medical products that are used as preventive measures for contagious diseases like coronavirus," 

The notice sent to all officials clearly prohibits the export of personal protection equipment/mask with immediate effects.
