Ecovillage 2: Annoyed residents protest against poor services

Greater Noida: Scores of residents from Ecovillage 2, a highrise in Greater Noida West, on Sunday staged protest against poor services and maintenance in the society. During the protest, residents raised their voice and tried to get attention of the developer on various development issues they have been demanding for years.

Poor maintenance services, water, firefighting system, lifts, security guards at exit and entry gates, incomplete park and many others have been prominent issues that more than 2,500 families are facing at Ecovillage 2.

Recently, flat buyers alleged that the developer is not providing registry of their flats. They were annoyed over this and that is why they decided to protest against the developer.

Residents had already written a letter to developer, reminding that the management was yet to get occupation certificates (OC) and completion certificates from the authority.

The residents also pointed out on lack of mandatory Solid Waste Management (SWM) and Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) for making the society self-reliant to handle these issues.

Anupam Mishra, a resident said, “We have been requesting the management to listen us but they did not. Firstly, we paid for our flats and then are continuously paying for maintenance and electricity. But, we are not getting good services. We will continue protest until the management ensure that our demands are fulfilled.”
